Satish Sanan, Executive Chairman, STI Knowledge
As Executive Chairman, Satish's primary focus is to help STI Knowledge execute
the vision and business strategy to expand service offerings beyond the Enterprise
Support market into the Business Process Optimization and Outsourcing markets.
Satish is a highly regarded and established entrepreneur, who founded his first
company, IMRglobal in 1988. As Chairman and CEO of IMRglobal, Satish grew the
company from its modest beginnings into a major, international IT services
and consulting firm. Satish took IMRglobal public in 1996, continued to grow
IMR
to employ over 3,000 employees, and sold the company in 2001 to CGI, after
which he continued on as Vice-Chairman and President of the U.S. and Asia Operations.
He was awarded the Ernst & Young Florida Entrepreneur of the Year award
in 1998 and National Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999.
Outside of technology, Satish is a familiar icon in the thoroughbred horse business.
His Padua Stables is one of the leading thoroughbred racing, training and breeding
operations in the country.
Doug Aktin, CEO, Majestic Research
As CEO of Majestic, Doug is focused on growing the company by acquiring new clients as well as expanding the company's research into new sectors.
Doug was previously President and
CEO of Instinet, where he conducted the IPO (NASDAQ: INET), led a consortium
of nine global brokerages that took a majority stake in the virt-x stock
exchange, and launched a correspondent clearing business. He served
on both the Trading
Committee and Market Structure Committee of the SIA, and on the boards of
virt-x and WR Hambrecht + Co. Doug was selected one of the Top New
Yorkers of 1999 by
New York magazine for his leading role in redefining the financial marketplace.
In 2000, Institutional Investor profiled Doug as one of the top 10 individuals
making the greatest impact on e-finance, and was presented with The Travers
Bell Memorial Award of Distinction sponsored by the SIA.
